Ali Yousif is an Iraqi forward born in Baghdad in 1996, with the full name Ali Yousif Hashim Najatee. He came through Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, broke into the first team as a teenager, and spent loan spells with Naft Al-Wasat and Baghdad FC before returning to help the club win the AFC Cup in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 he joined Al-Shorta, where he won domestic honours and played in continental competition. Yousif received his first Iraq senior call-up for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup and made his debut against Qatar.
