Mohanad Ali, widely known in Iraq as Mimi, is an Iraqi striker born in Baghdad in 2000. He emerged very young at Al-Shorta, becoming the youngest player in Iraqi Premier League history and later scoring heavily for the club. His career has also included Al-Duhail, Portimonense, Al-Sailiya, Aris and Dibba. Ali progressed through Iraq's youth teams, winning regional youth honours, and made his senior debut in 2017. He scored twice against Saudi Arabia in 2018, became one of Asia's noted young forwards around the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, and remains a prominent Iraq attacking option.
