Sávio Moreira de Oliveira was born on 10 April 2004 in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He joined the Atlético Mineiro academy in 2018 and signed his first professional contract with the club in June 2020, making his competitive debut as a substitute in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A that September.
After a permanent move to Troyes in June 2022, Sávio quickly attracted wider attention through a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, where he picked up a KNVB Cup winners' medal in 2022–23. He then joined Girona FC on loan for the 2023–24 season, contributing 9 goals in 37 appearances and playing a notable part in the club's historic qualification for the UEFA Champions League — their first ever.
A direct and pacey attacking winger with a sharp eye for goal, Sávio tends to operate from wide positions and cause problems with his movement and directness. In July 2024, Manchester City completed a permanent transfer for the player, integrating him into Pep Guardiola's squad as part of the club's continued investment in young attacking talent.
On the international stage, Sávio has represented Brazil at youth level, scoring 4 goals at the 2019 South American U-15 Championship, and has since been called into the senior national squad.
