Crysencio Summerville was born on 30 October 2001 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and came through Feyenoord's academy. He gained early senior experience on loan at Dordrecht and ADO Den Haag, where his speed and one-versus-one ability made him one of the more noticeable Dutch youth attackers before English clubs moved seriously for him.
Leeds United signed him in 2020, initially as a development player, and his rise became one of the club's brighter stories during a turbulent period. He scored Premier League goals as a young winger, then became one of the Championship's best attackers after Leeds' relegation, producing goals, assists and constant isolation threat from the left side.
West Ham United brought him back to the Premier League to add dribbling and transition speed to the attack. In east London he has been used as a wide forward who can hold width, attack the far post and carry the ball through pressure. His adaptation has involved learning when to slow attacks down as well as when to run directly at full-backs.
For the Netherlands he has represented youth national teams, including age-group sides packed with technically gifted wide players. Senior Oranje recognition has been competitive rather than automatic, so he remains in the category of a player pushing for full international involvement through club form.
Standing around 1.74 m, Summerville is a right-footed winger most comfortable from the left, where he can drive inside and shoot or slip passes into the channel. His low centre of gravity, acceleration and direct dribbling invite comparisons with a young Steven Bergwijn, though Summerville's game leans more toward repeated one-on-one creation.
