Marc Pubill Pagès was born on 20 June 2003 in Terrassa, Catalonia. He came through youth academies at Manresa and RCD Espanyol before joining Levante's system, where he made his La Liga debut on 20 December 2021 against Valencia. After developing in the club's reserves, he transferred to UD Almería in August 2023, becoming a regular in their 2023–24 La Liga campaign before relegation.
Atlético Madrid announced his signing on 22 July 2025 on a five-year contract, the package valued at around €16 million plus incentives that could push it to €20 million. He had been close to a Wolves move before Atlético intervened. As of May 2026 he has made 32 appearances for the club across all competitions.
A 1.90 m right-back of unusual height for the position, Pubill represents Spain at U21 and has a senior international resume that includes Olympic gold at the 2024 Paris Games — he started the gold-medal final and scored against Uzbekistan during the tournament — alongside his Almería teammates Álex Baena and Pablo Barrios who are now also at Atlético.
He is a modern full-back: the height and frame of a centre-back paired with the pace, athleticism, and crossing range expected of a wide attacking outlet, a profile Diego Simeone moved decisively to add to his squad as part of Atlético's right-back rebuild.
