Pasquale Mazzocchi was born on 27 July 1995 in Naples, Italy. He started his career in the Italian lower divisions, making his Serie C debut for Pro Piacenza in 2014, and then moved through Rimini, Parma, Perugia and Venezia in Serie B before joining Salernitana, with whom he reached Serie A in 2022.
In January 2024 reigning Serie A champions Napoli signed him on a permanent transfer reportedly worth around €3 million, on a three-and-a-half-year deal. His debut was infamously cut short — he came off the bench against Torino and received a straight red card after just four minutes following a VAR review, the third-fastest send-off for a debutant in Serie A history.
Despite that start, Mazzocchi has settled into the squad, contributing to the 2024-25 Serie A title win and the 2025-26 Supercoppa Italiana, and now wears the number 30 shirt. He has earned one senior Italy cap, debuting against Hungary in September 2022.
A right-footed wing-back / right-back, Mazzocchi brings the engine and street-football grit forged in the Italian lower divisions to a Napoli squad otherwise stocked with internationals — exactly the kind of local option Italian fans tend to embrace.
