Pau Cubarsí Paredes is a Spanish centre-back born in Bescanó on 22 January 2007. He began at Girona and joined Barcelona's academy in 2018, developing at La Masia before signing his first professional contract in 2023. Cubarsí made his first-team debut in the Copa del Rey in January 2024 and quickly moved into Barcelona's league and Champions League line-ups. His Champions League knockout debut against Napoli brought a player-of-the-match award and drew attention to his composure at centre-back. He extended his Barcelona contract and became a regular in the senior squad. With Spain, Cubarsí debuted in 2024, became the national team's youngest defender, and won Olympic gold in Paris.
