Alejandro Grimaldo García is a Spanish left wing-back born in Valencia on 20 September 1995. After time in the Valencia and Barcelona academies, he made his Barcelona B debut in 2011 while still 15, becoming one of the youngest players in the Spanish second tier. He moved to Benfica at the end of 2015 and spent more than seven seasons there, winning league, cup and super cup honours in Portugal. In 2023 he joined Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer and became a key part of the side that won the 2023-24 Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. Grimaldo made his senior Spain debut in 2023 and was selected for UEFA Euro 2024.
