Marcos Llorente Moreno is a Spanish midfielder and right-back born in Madrid on 30 January 1995. He developed in Real Madrid's academy, played for the reserve team and first team, and gained regular La Liga experience on loan at Alavés. In 2019 he signed for Atlético Madrid, where Diego Simeone used him across midfield, attack and full-back roles. His extra-time goals against Liverpool in the 2019-20 Champions League knockout stage became an early highlight, and he was a major contributor as Atlético won La Liga in 2020-21. Llorente made his senior Spain debut in 2020 and was part of the squads for UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
