Trevoh Chalobah was born on 5 July 1999 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and moved to England at the age of two, growing up in Lambeth, south London. He joined Chelsea's academy at eight years old and spent over a decade developing there before earning senior opportunities on loan at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and French club Lorient.
Chalobah made his senior Chelsea debut in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal, helping the club win 6–5 on penalties. Three days later he scored on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace in a 3–0 win — a striking start to his top-flight career. He also netted a Champions League goal against Juventus later that season, cementing his place in the squad. His honours with Chelsea include the UEFA Super Cup (2021), two FIFA Club World Cup titles (2021 and 2025), and the UEFA Conference League (2024–25).
A composed and athletic centre-back, Chalobah is comfortable in possession and reads the game well from a defensive position. Chelsea recalled him mid-season in January 2025 following injuries to defensive colleagues, underlining his importance to the squad.
At international level, Chalobah represented England across youth teams from under-16 to under-21, captaining sides at various stages. He helped England win the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He received his first senior England call-up in May 2025 and made his senior debut in a 3–1 defeat to Senegal in June 2025.
