Pedro Neto was born on 9 March 2000 in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, and came through the youth academy at Braga. He made a swift impression at senior level, scoring on his Primeira Liga debut in May 2017 at the age of 17 — becoming Braga's youngest ever league scorer at the time. That summer he moved to Lazio on a two-year loan, winning the Coppa Italia in 2018–19, before signing permanently for Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2019.
At Wolves, Neto established himself as one of the more exciting wide attackers in the Premier League, though his time at the club was repeatedly disrupted by serious injuries — including a knee problem in April 2021 that kept him out for the better part of a year. Despite those setbacks, he earned the club's Player of the Year award for 2020–21 and made 100 Premier League appearances before departing.
A direct, quick winger with sharp changes of direction and an ability to create and score in equal measure, Neto joined Chelsea in August 2024 on a seven-year deal reported at around £51.3 million. In his debut season he contributed nine goals in 51 appearances and collected two trophies — the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
At international level, Neto made his senior Portugal debut in November 2020, scoring in a 7–0 friendly win over Andorra. He was part of the squad at UEFA Euro 2024 and played a role in Portugal's UEFA Nations League triumph in 2024–25, starting the final against Spain.
